Own experience: School
Binnen school hebben we het idee dat er een academie bubbel is, iedereen staat open voor onderwerpen. Maar je moet ook ergens bij horen, je moet een kant kiezen.

Nieuws

Podcast Ocean Vuong ''A life worthy of our breath''
Ocean prayed and blessed their familie and friend within the house, so before they begin their day. If they stepped out of the house, the day started. They did it with care and respect, and that is wat brings to me now a days.

Note: is the language different within your own home than the outside?

If Ocean is giving a lecture, he always tried to lower his voice, to speak with care. What do you bring with you?

The experiences in his childhood of Ocean influences his way of communication. He said that he is made during war, with an American and Vietnamees parents. A history with violence and non knowledge.

Ocean sees words as things I could move and care of. His base is coming from showing love through cooking/hugging, and therefore sees words as things.

The meaning of words is always imperfect. ‘’The future is in our mouth’’. ‘’But it’s in a way in which even the words we are thinking, is shaping the way we’re interacting.’’ What kind of language do we use? How can words influence our way of being in this world?
Framing a specific topic. But also with colour, you can frame a danger in a color, and this will be believed by anyone?
How is colour influence our daily lives and fears?
Like, today is color red, tomorrow color orange

How is our generation want to be seen? How do we achieve that people listen to us?

The meaning f.i. of ‘’victory’’, he mentioned that after every reading, white men clapped for him, but it isn’t a form of victory for Ocean.

‘’I do think it does begin and end in the body. Language is something we carry.’’
And he says that taking to each other is so more than just words, but also how the body receives those words with care and meaning. You also have tone of voices, and the message is totally different.

Note to self: play with tone of voices and specific word choices.
Recording / ''the blue tiger''
The Blue Tiger is seen as a conduit for anti-government propaganda, fake news and conspiracy theories. The NCTV sees it as one of the organizations that strengthen the polarization in society.
''Counterterrorism: More polarization seen since corona pandemic'' - NOS
In the videos of the Blue Tiger Studio, they have conversations with special quests about current, mostly political, subjects. When I listen and analyse the video of ''Ferdinand van der Neut on media diversion, government coercion and civil resistance'' , is language a huge influence how they want to perceive information to the viewer. In this talk, the interview is about COVID19 and the new measures taken by the cabinet. I analyse how the question is asked by the interviewer Tom Zwitser to his quest Ferdinand van der Neut.

In minute 2.48, Ferdinand is showing us a hand sign where he

The influence of typography
We all know that we are influenced in many, many ways — many of which we remain blissfully unaware of. Could typefaces be one of them? Could the mere selection of a typeface influence us to believe one thing rather than another? Could typefaces work some unseen magic? Or malefaction?

GOAL IN THIS PROJECT:
Nowadays we no longer think about what we read or see in media. Political authorities, companies, news media, are using this to influence our instincts and try to force our opinion in a certain way.

We have the urge in this project to warn the people about these design and language tools that are being used in the modern newspapers.
